Dr. Roffman attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Dr. Roffman earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Loyola University, Maryland in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Roffman specializes in assessment for children and adolescents with learning disabilities, mood concerns, and attention problems.
Past clinical positions were held at Villa Maria Residential Treatment Center, Children’s National Medical Center, Jewish Child and Family Services and private practice. Dr. Roffman has provided individual, group, and family therapy, in addition to extensive training conducting evaluations. Dr. Roffman has worked in private practice since 2011. Dr. Roffman’s current role includes conducting psychoeducational evaluations for school-aged children, adolescents, and college-aged young adults. Dr. Roffman is a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland.
Dr. Roffman has always felt very strongly about collaborating and working directly with the children’s schools and providers to help with the implementation of recommendations and supports.
Dr. Cornbrooks is a Maryland Licensed Psychologist who provides services for children, adolescents, and their families. Her services include therapy as well as psychoeducational evaluation and school consultation. Dr. Cornbrooks received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Colby College. She continued her education at the University of Georgia and earned her Masters and Doctorate in School Psychology. Dr. Cornbrooks’s training includes a pre-doctoral internship and two postdoctoral fellowships at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Cornbrooks is experienced in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, learning disorders, and problems with emotional and behavioral regulation. She joined the practice in 2011 and provides treatment for a wide variety of mental health concern
Bentley Stephens was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended University of Maryland, College Park where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Mrs. Stephens attended graduate school at University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she received her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Social Work and a specialization in Mental Health.
Previously, Mrs. Stephens has worked in residential treatment centers and outpatient clinics serving children, adolescents and families in the Baltimore area. She has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy. Mrs. Stephens has worked with children and adolescents with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, attention difficulties, behavioral and emotional regulation challenges, and trauma.
Mrs. Stephens uses a strengths-based approach to treatment, and works collaboratively with families, schools, and other supports in a child’s life. Mrs. Stephens has received training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness strategies, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused treatment, and behavior management techniques. She strongly believes that children have the potential to thrive with the use of internal skills and environmental supports, both of which are important components of treatment.
Temi has vast experience working with children and adolescents. Temi earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Morgan State University, and received a Master’s in Social Work Degree (MSW) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with a clinical concentration and specialization in Families and Children.
Previously, Temi has held positions working as a school-based therapist providing therapy to children in elementary and middle school. She has worked within multiple school systems within the state of Maryland, and is well-versed in IEP and 504 plans and student advocacy. Her other work experiences include helping children and adolescents across multiple settings, such as psychiatric hospitals, juvenile detention centers and the Department of Social Services. Temi has also served as a task supervisor for MSW candidates during their internship year.
Temi has experience working with children and adolescents who experience anxiety, grief, depression, life stressors/transitions, trauma, ADHD, emotion dysregulation, and difficulties with socializations and peer relationships. She has a passion to impact individuals and assist in rebuilding family systems to create a better and productive environment for the upcoming generation. Temi recognizes the importance of collaborating with different systems in the child’s environment and therefore views collaboration with schools, parents and any other professionals as important components to their work together. While her therapeutic approach extensively integrates CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused therapy and Behavioral Therapy, she also encompasses cultural approaches into her practice with individuals.
Temi is a Yoruba native from Lagos, Nigeria, who now lives in the Baltimore area.
Dr. Cori Shapiro (Psy.D) earned her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Cori has experience working with children, adolescents, and college-aged individuals in schools, community mental health, and private practice settings conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning, and anxiety/mood problems.
Cori’s therapy experiences in private practice and schools have included individual and family therapy. Cori believes that working with schools is an essential component to her work with children and has experience with collaborating with schools, as well as participating in IEP and school meetings to advocate on her client’s behalf. Cori’s clinical interests include anxiety/depression, ADHD, learning disorders, social problems, family and relationship conflict, self-esteem, adjustment issues, stress management, and trauma. Cori will be taking on both testing and therapy clients at the practice in the early fall.
